Um...sorry if I'm being a dummy, but how do we download from the FTP? I noticed the announcement about it being back up... :?

there is no browse function for the FTP, so if you find a book you want in a post just copy the link and paste it in a browser window then press return

yep. Download via Direct Links only. Not sure on the status of the FTP, but give it a go.
