Trying to figure out the name of this book ...
probably released mid 80's - fairly thick book
young woman, rich family, very much overweight, goes to Paris and stays at this house (a pension?) with a woman and her 2 daughters, who don't think very highly of her. Due to the way they eat, and her inability to speak French and go out and buy her own food, she loses a lot of weight. Lo and behold, no one ever noticed it before but she's gorgeous. The woman and her daughters decide she's no a bad sort after all and they help her to continue to lose weight and teach her all about clothes and fashion and how to be a classy woman. I think she goes into the fashion field - designer I think, maybe model but I could be wron on that part.
She returns to the States and that's where I go totally blank.
If anyone could help me out with a name or an author I'd greatly appreciate it.
